Come and witness this atmospheric phenomenon in Venezuela. It occurs only over the mouth of the Catatumbo River where it empties into Lake Maracaibo. You while interact with local fishermen and enjoy their food while exploring and discovering all the flora and fauna of the area

Itinerary:
Day 1: OLOGÁ Airport reception with guide and 1 hour ground transfer to Puerto Concha. Transfer to boat to enjoy a 3 hour tour spoting wildlife as dlphins, howler monkeys, King fishers and the endemic: Chicaguire that is currently in the endaangerred list.
Arrival at Olaga at our Palafito or native house on stilts . This hut was transferred here on top of Boats!!! Ologa is a small fisherman town with over 200 years of hystory . this will be our base camp to witness the Catatumbo lightning acomodations will be in hamocks or tents (L/D)
Day 2: CHAMITA After breakfast we take the boat for a 2 hours journey to La Chamita located at Concha river, we will visits these small ceaks in search for wildlife and see the local fisherman in action. Late afternoon we arrive at our second camp at La Chamita and prepare for tonights lihgtnig show (B/L/D)
Day 3: EL VIGÍA After breakfast we begin the boat ride to Chamita and drive to El Vigía a...

El relámpago del Catatumbo es un fenómeno increíble, el tour cubrió todas mis expectativas. Me sorprendió la cantidad de fauna y flora que se observa en todo momento, no me los esperaba., además el contacto con los pobladores locales es muy gratificante. Akanan los felicito por la impecable organización. Saludos.

Akanan es la mejor agencia para este tipo de viajes. Organización y guía excelentes. El relámpago es un espectáculo. Muy recomendado.
